The panelists will address some of the multitude of risks and protections around cybersecurity and trustees. Trustees delegate tasks (significant and non-significant) to a great variety of providers: family offices, banks, asset managers, lawyers, tax advisers, accountants, real estate managers, valuers, compliance providers, IT-Providers and … the list is long. Often the relationships are cross-border, knowingly or unknowingly. What can and should a FINMA-licensed Trustee do to address the cyber-risks arising from that? There is obviously an ability to insure against risk but at what cost and how extensive is the insurance? Are the providers also adequately selected, instructed and supervised? How thorough is the auditing process to assist in highlighting regulatory but also business resilience risks? Has appropriate training been provided within the trustee’s organization? |
