STEP is the leading worldwide professional body for practitioners in the fields of trusts, estates and related issues.
The Geneva branch of STEP – the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners – was formed in Geneva in 1992 to assist professionals maintain the highest standards in serving their clients and to further the objectives of the worldwide STEP organisation. It was converted to a formal association in 2004, registered at the Geneva Register of Commerce. The Association STEP Suisse Romande changed its name to the Association STEP Geneva. The change of name was passed by members' resolution at an Extraordinary General Meeting on 21st February 2013 and reflects the fact that STEP Lausanne was formed in 2010.
The Geneva Association currently has about 400 full members and holds regular luncheon, online and other events throughout the year addressed by experts in the many areas of interest to trust and estate professionals. Student Members
In addition to its full members, the branch has student, affiliate and other members, and the branch committee appoints a student liaison officer to communicate students’ wishes and concerns to the committee. Information on becoming a student member of STEP is on the students membership page.
