INVESTMENT FUNDS IN LUXEMBOURG AND SWITZERLAND:
THE PRACTICALITIES OF THEIR USE BY TRUSTEES AND PRIVATE INVESTMENT OFFICES
 

The presentation and discussion will focus on the practicalities of using a Luxembourg or Swiss private investment fund held directly or indirectly under a trust by a trustee in Switzerland (including PTCs), the various parties which need to be involved in managing the fund, the type of investments permitted, the tax/stamp duty issues, and how an unregulated private investment office can fit into the picture.  There will also be discussion of the type of entities which can be used as well as reporting/transparency issues in the two jurisdictions and L-QIF will be covered.
